The details – glass-fronted cupboards, tongue and groove walls, wooden pegs for hanging, a deep sink and Mayan taps – allow this kitchen scullery to fit into a range of interiors from Scandinavian to country.

The Perrin & Rowe wall-mounted Mayans are from a time of concrete laundry-tubs and washboards. Dominque has playfully used wire cages as shelves and a tin bath as a sink to evoke a sense of nostalgia, while still creating a totally modern utility room.

Cremorne Point - Kitchen
A modern classic kitchen has been designed for a 100 year old villa-bungalow. Shaker style joinery and simple detailing contrasts with the stunning Oxford grilles inset into cabinet doors, providing a surprising decorative element. A large island, painted in Resene Raven with superwhite granite, and beautiful Io tap in polished brass provides a central focus with dining occupying the remaining half of the room.
