Joseph Giles - Horizontal privacy latch lock

This horizontal privacy latch lock is recessed into the door. The latch bolt is operated by a pair of door knobs with an 8mm spindle, and its deadbolt is operated by a privacy snib from the inside and emergency release from the outside. These locks are usually installed on doors that lead into a bathroom or toilet. The privacy snib and emergency release will need to be compatible with a 5mm square spindle.

Minimum door thickness for these locks is 32mm and the maximum, as standard, is 54mm.

• Forend (Plate that goes over the end of the lock)
• Strike plate (Plate that is fitted to the frame)
• Dust box (Small black box which is fitted into the cut out behind the strike plate, improving the overall aesthetics of the finish)
