Joseph Giles - Bailey solid brass door lever handle with round rose

Inspired by contemporary shapes, Joseph Giles experimented with the way in which round and rectangular shapes coalesce and complement each other, hence the Bailey was born.

The Bailey design demonstrates a perfect balance of form and function; the overall look is delicate whilst the functionality is reassuring and solid.

As well as mid-century art, one of Joseph Giles' other sources of inspiration was the London Underground logo, dubbed the 'roundel', which employs the same combination of shapes. The logo, first conceptualised in 1905, was originally a blue bar over a red disk; made to make passengers aware of the station name.

The Bailey door lever handles are made from finest grade solid brass and are hand finished in all the standard finishes. Joseph Giles' lever handles come with a 10-year mechanical guarantee.

Joseph Giles locks & latches are available in light, medium, and heavy-sprung options. To ensure the best performance for this lever handle design, we recommend using a heavy-sprung latch.
